The body was finished in Granite Silver Metallic (237) from the factory and is said to have been repainted under prior ownership ownership along with the bumper covers and side skirts. Exterior features include a panoramic sunroof, fog lights, a rear window wiper, dual exhaust outlets, and a revised front air dam, rear valance, and rocker panels when compared to the standard E34. The car was ordered from the factory with deleted model designation badging.
Factory 17″ M System II wheels feature “throwing star” covers and are mounted with Federal SS595 tires measuring 235/45 up front and 255/40 out back. The car was equipped from the factory with the Nürburgring Package, which consisted of ZF Servotronic speed-sensitive steering and a thicker rear sway bar. The seller states that KW coilovers have been installed in place of the factory adaptive M Suspension system that also came as part of the package. Braking is handled by four-wheel ventilated discs with ABS.
The cabin features two-tone light silver and dark gray leather upholstery on the seating surfaces, while gray leather extends to the lower dashboard and center console. Appointments include heated front sport seats, lateral rear sunshades, cruise control, power windows, and a BMW Bavaria cassette stereo. The air conditioning does not work.
The steering wheel frames a 300-km/h speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The digital odometer indicates 187k kilometers (~116k miles), approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership. The seller reports steering wheel vibration at speeds over 80-mph.
The 3.8-liter S38B38 inline-six features larger intake and exhaust valves and larger throttle bodies than its 3.6-liter predecessor as well as Bosch Motronic 3.3 engine management. Factory-rated output was 340 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. A Racing Dynamics strut bar has been added to the engine bay and the seller states that a single-mass flywheel sourced from a 3.6-liter S38 engine has been installed.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Getrag 280/5 five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Additional underside images can be viewed in the gallery.
