The RS package added HID headlights with halo rings as well as revised taillights. Additional features include front fog lights, dual exhaust outlets, and ultrasonic rear park assist.
Polished 20″ aluminum wheels are mounted with 245/45 front and 275/40 rear Pirelli P-Zero tires that show 2017 and 2016 date codes, respectively. 2SS models came equipped with a performance suspension and variable-ratio power steering. Braking is handled by Brembo calipers over ventilated discs at all four corners.
The cabin features heated front bucket seats trimmed in black leather with contrasting stitching and SS embroidery accompanied by a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Additional appointments include air conditioning, cruise control, a universal home remote, a leather-wrapped shift knob, a CD stereo with Bluetooth connectivity, and a Boston Acoustics premium sound system.
A leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel frames a 180-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,700-rpm redline, a central digital display, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. Auxiliary gauges are located at the bottom of the center stack. The digital odometer indicates 5k miles, approximately 1k of which were added by the seller.
The 6.2-liter LS3 V8 was modified during current ownership with a ProCharger supercharger and intercooler kit. Supporting modifications include an upgraded fuel pump and injectors, stainless-steel long-tube headers, high-flow catalytic converters, upgraded coolant lines, and a Tial blow-off valve. Service performed in August 2022 included a coolant flush, an oil change, and replacement of the thermostat, coolant lines, spark plugs, and ignition wires. A dyno sheet is presented in the gallery below.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a TR6060 six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential, both of which received fluid flushes in August 2022. Additional underside photos are available in the gallery below.
The window sticker shows initial delivery to Fremont Chevrolet GMC in Lander, Wyoming, as well as factory colors, equipment, and a total price of $39,485. Manufacturer’s literature and service records are also included.
