The black soft top has been removed and shows stains and wear along with a cloudy plastic rear window as viewable in the gallery. A pair of side curtains is included in the sale in addition to the removed non-louvered hood. The windshield was replaced in preparation for the sale.
Chrome-finished Dayton 70-spoke 15” wire wheels wear two-ear knock-off spinners and are mounted with 205/65 Dunlop Sport Signature tires. A gray-finished spare is stored in the trunk. The suspension was reportedly overhauled during the refurbishment, including the installation of upgraded front springs, an oversized front sway bar, and Bilstein shocks at all four corners. The rear leaf springs, wheel bearings, and sway bar are also said to have been replaced at that time. According to notes provided by the prior owner, additional work included rebuilding the steering box and installing a Lockheed brake servo, Girling master cylinder, drilled and slotted front rotors, replacement rear brake drums, and stainless steel lines.
The four-place cabin features seats that have been reupholstered in blue leather with white piping along with color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Sound deadening material is said to have been added under the carpets and inside the doors, and additional appointments include latch-and-link lap belts for the front occupants as well as a center armrest and a Smiths heater.
A wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts rebuilt Smiths gauges consisting of a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 5,250-rpm redline, a fuel gauge, and a combination gauge. A clock and a voltmeter are mounted under the dash. The five-digit odometer shows 23k miles, approximately 300 of which have been added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown.
The 2.9-liter inline-six is said to have been rebuilt by Emile’s Sports Car Performance in Santa Cruz, California, and features twin SU carburetors, Coopers air cleaners, a finned aluminum oil pan, and an aluminum radiator equipped with an electric pusher fan. An upgraded camshaft is said to have been added, along with a replacement wiring harness, starter motor, and fuel pump.
