The 15″ steel wheels wear chrome covers with faux spinners and are wrapped with 205/75 Coker whitewall tires that were installed in June 2017. A spare wheel with a Maxxis tire is stored in the trunk. The car underwent a four-wheel power disc brake conversion under current ownership and features a dual-circuit primary cylinder as well as replacement front and rear brake lines. Additional work performed since the seller’s acquisition included refurbishing the steering box along with replacing the rear axle bearings, seals, wheel studs, and rebound straps.
The cabin features bucket seats trimmed in red vinyl with a color-coordinated dash pad and carpets. The door panels wear ribbed aluminum inserts, and the center stack houses a cassette player as well as heater and defroster controls. The seller notes that the clock is inoperative and the seat upholstery shows separation at the seams.
The red instrument surround houses a sweeping 160-mph speedometer, a replacement electronic tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, voltage, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 21k miles, approximately 1k of which were added under current ownership.
The 283ci V8 was rebuilt with a replacement engine block during previous ownership. The engine features FiTech fuel injection, an MSD ignition, and a 90-amp alternator. The cylinder head gaskets were replaced under current ownership along with installation of a replacement fan clutch, fuel pump, radiator and heater hoses, and gas tank hoses and seals.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a 4.11:1 Positraction rear axle. The shift linkage was replaced under current ownership. Corrosion is noted on underbody components, and additional underside photos can be viewed in the gallery.
