This is a re-list after the vehicle was previously sold on BaT in June 2022 and the winning bidder failed to follow through with their commitment to purchase. This was not due to any fault with the vehicle. The winner has been banned from future participation on BaT and their buyer’s fee was not refunded.
Steel 15″ wheels with full covers are mounted with BFGoodrich Silvertown whitewall tires, and a jack and full-size spare wheel with a Firestone Deluxe Champion spare are stored in the trunk. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel drum brakes, and the seller states that the primary brake cylinder was replaced in preparation for the sale.
The seats are said to have been sourced from a 1966 Cadillac coupe and are upholstered in black vinyl with cloth inserts. The seller notes that corrosion repair was performed at the left-rear seatbelt mounting point during the refurbishment. The air conditioning system has been converted to utilize R134a refrigerant, and work performed in preparation for the sale reportedly included rebuilding the power servo and temperature sensors, refurbishing the clock, repairing the power seat switch, fitting additional seat foam, and replacing the drive belt and seals. The driver-side power door lock function unlocks only, the power remote trunk is slow to release, and the AM band of the push-button radio is inoperative.
Instrumentation consists of a horizontal-sweep 120-mph speedometer and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The seller believes that the five-digit odometer was reset during the refurbishment, and it now shows 17k miles. Total mileage is unknown.
The 429ci V8 sends power to the rear wheels through a three-speed Turbo-Hydramatic automatic transmission, both of which are said to have been rebuilt during the refurbishment. Work performed in preparation for the sale reportedly included engine oil and transmission fluid changes as well as replacement of the alternator power cable, wiring loom, valve cover gasket, and rear transmission and speedometer cable seals.
