The car left the factory in Coronado Gold (O) and was reportedly repainted in black during previous ownership. Equipment includes a replacement 400-style hood, quad headlights, a chrome grille and bumpers, faux quarter panel vents, an antenna, polished rockers, and dual outlet exhausts with angled finishers. The front bumper was reportedly re-chromed during current ownership. The seller notes a rust bubble on the left rear quarter panel near the door opening.
The 14″ Rallye II wheels wear chrome trim rings and PMD center caps and are mounted with 215/70 BFGoodrich Silvertown-branded redline tires that are said to have been mounted in 2021. A full-size spare is mounted in the trunk. The pitman arm, shock absorbers, control arm and sway bar bushings, tie rod ends, ball joints, coil springs, and tires were reportedly replaced during current ownership, and power-assisted front disc brakes have been fitted.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in black vinyl joined by a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Equipment includes the Deluxe interior option, a Hurst shifter with a cueball knob, a center console with a quartz-movement clock, a folding rear seat, polished sill plates, a dash-mounted passenger grab handle, lap belts, Firebird-branded rubber floor mats, and a Kenwood AM/FM/cassette stereo. The headliner, sail panels, shifter and shifter boot, heater core, seat covers, and door seals were reportedly replaced during current ownership.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer. An aftermarket coolant temperature gauge is mounted below the dash and a tachometer is mounted to the hood in front of the driver. The fuel gauge does not work. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 59k miles, approximately 10k of which were added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown.
The 326ci V8 HO was factory rated at 285 horsepower and was reportedly rebuilt during previous ownership and is said to be fitted with a performance camshaft. A polished Edelbrock 650-cfm carburetor and intake manifold, Jet-Hot ceramic-coated Hooker headers, and an HEI distributor, coil, and cap were fitted during current ownership, and aftermarket upper air baffles are also said to be installed.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a Muncie M21 four-speed manual transmission and a 10-bolt rear axle. The flywheel was resurfaced and the clutch, pressure plate, clutch ball retainer clip, push rod, counter shaft bearing, and fork boot are said to have been replaced during current ownership. A dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers is installed.
A reproduction window sticker, PHS document, and a broadcast sheet are included in the sale.
A spare intake manifold, carburetor, distributor, drum brake components, exhaust manifolds, and valve covers are included in the sale. Close-up images of the part numbers are shown in the gallery.
