This Shelby Fastback left factory finished in Lime Gold and was repainted in its current shade of Acapulco Blue with white center stripes and GT500 rocker stripes as part of a refurbishment said to have been completed in 2017. Chrome trim adorns the rear bumper and front facia, and additional features include a vented fiberglass hood and nose extension, a fiberglass trunk lid with a ducktail rear spoiler, air scoops on the sail and quarter panels, hood pins, and dual exhaust outlets.
The 15″ 10-spoke aluminum wheels wear 235/60 Goodyear Eagle RH white-letter tires. The power-assisted braking system features discs up front with drums out back, and power steering was fitted from the factory.
The cabin is trimmed in black vinyl and features brushed aluminum accents on the dash and door panels. Additional equipment includes a Shelby-specific roll bar, three-point front seatbelts, a fold-down rear seat, vent windows, and a push-button AM radio. The AM radio does not work.
The three-spoke steering is fitted with a Shelby-logo horn button and fronts a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline, an analog clock, and auxiliary gauges. Stewart Warner gauges indicating oil pressure and amperage are mounted beneath the radio. The five-digit odometer shows 76k miles, approximately 2k of which have been added under current ownership.
The 428ci Police Interceptor V8 features the optional extra cooling package along with dual four-barrel carburetors, Cobra die-cast aluminum valve covers, and a Cobra-branded air cleaner cover. The oil was last changed in 2019.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission.
