Finished from the factory in Light Goldenrod, the truck was repainted in its current shade of green by Alpine Valley Service Center of Closter, New Jersey in 2013 following the completion of bodywork, which included media blasting sections of the truck, fabricating wheel well skirts, and replacing sections of the floor panels. Additional features include a chrome front bumper with overriders, an aftermarket satin black rear bumper, dual side mirrors, side window visors, and Bronco Sport badging. A black soft top and Bikini top are included in the sale, along with a white hardtop that is shown in the gallery.
American Racing 15″ wheels are wrapped in 32×11.5″ BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A K02 tires, and a black 15″ steel spare is mounted on the swing-away rear carrier. The truck is equipped with locking front hubs and has been modified with a Rancho suspension lift kit along with a Wild Horses power steering system and power-assisted front disc brakes. Other work performed during current ownership included installing copper brake lines, rebuilding the steering rack, and replacing the ball joints along with the rear brake shoes and wheel cylinders.
The cabin features seats that have been reupholstered in brown leather with black piping. A matching dash pad, roll bar cover, visors, and door panels have also been installed, along with replacement door seals, moldings, interior switch gear, and black carpeting. Amenities include a Sony CD stereo, a heater, front lap belts, and wood shift knobs.
A wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts a column-mounted tachometer and a 100-mph speedometer, along with auxiliary gauges for battery charge, fuel level, and coolant temperature. The speedometer drive gear was replaced with a 16-tooth unit in 2012. The five digit odometer shows 71k miles, approximately 4k of which were added by the seller. True mileage is unknown.
The 302ci V8 is equipped with a dual exhaust system and an Edelbrock carburetor with an electronic choke. The engine was resealed in 2012 and additional work included repairing the radiator and replacing the fuel tank, oil pressure switch, water pump, thermostat, rear main seal, throttle linkage, radiator hoses, and hood lift supports. The truck is equipped with an auxiliary fuel tank.
The five-speed manual transmission was installed in 2012, at which time the dual-range transfer case was resealed and the front axle joints, bearings, and pinion seal were replaced. Additional underside photos are viewable in the gallery below.
